The procedure and method for the destruction of personal information

  1. When personal information held by Pharmaco-Net becomes unnecessary due to the expiration of the retention period or achievement of the processing purpose, it will be promptly destroyed.
  2. If the retention period of personal information agreed upon with the information subject has elapsed or the processing purpose has been achieved, but it is necessary to continue retaining the personal information according to other laws, the personal information will be transferred to a separate database (DB) or stored separately in a different location.
  3. The procedure and method for the destruction of personal information are as follows:
    1. Destruction Procedure : Pharmaco-Net selects the personal information for destruction when the reasons for destruction arise and obtains approval from the Pharmaco-Net Information Protection Officer before destroying the personal information.
    2. Destruction Method : Pharmaco-Net destroys electronically recorded or stored personal information in a manner that makes it impossible to regenerate the records. Personal information recorded or stored on paper documents is destroyed by shredding or incineration.

The rights, obligations, and methods of exercising rights of the data subject and legal representative

  1. Data subjects have the right to exercise various rights against Pharmaco-Net, such as the right to access, correct, delete, and request the suspension of personal information processing. 
  2. These rights can be exercised through written requests, electronic mail, facsimile transmission (FAX), etc. directed to Pharmaco-Net, and Pharmaco-Net will promptly take appropriate actions in response. 
  3. Rights may also be exercised through legal representatives of the data subject or authorized representatives. In such cases, a letter of authorization must be submitted. 
  4. The rights to access and request processing suspension may be limited under certain circumstances.
